Sitting Bull (1831-1890) de son vrai nom Tatanka Yotanka, (celui qui baille) est un chef des Lakotas Hunkpapas (Sioux) et homme-médecine. Il participe aux guerres des plaines des années 1860. Sa tribu participe ainsi à la bataille de Little Big Horn au cours de laquelle sera tué le général Custer. Après sa rédition et une période de captivité, il participe en 1885 au Wild West Show de Buffalo Bill. Il meurt en 1890 assssiné par la police indienne..
Sitting Bull (1831-1890), whose real name was Tatanka Yotanka (the one who yawns), was a Lakota Hunkpapa (Sioux) chief and medicine man. He took part in the Plains Wars of the 1860s. His tribe participated in the Battle of Little Big Horn, during which General Custer was killed. After his surrender and a period of captivity, he participated in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in 1885. He died in 1890, murdered by the Indian police.
