Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type de monnayage, décentré au droit sur le mufle du lion. Très joli revers. Jolie patine de collection ancienne

IONIA - MILETUS
(6th - 5th century BC)
Miletus, founded in the 12th century BC, had been the seat of the Ionian Confederation. During the War of Liberation, it was crushed in 494 BC. Its cult of Apollo was renowned throughout Asia Minor. Its settlers founded, among others, the colonies of Abydos, Cyzicus, Sinope and Panticapaeum.
