Intéressante médaille hébraïque avec une représentation typique du Christ. Le nom de “Campo dei fiori” fut donné par Monsieur Boyer d’Agen qui en aurait trouvé une en 1898 à Rome. Il s’agirait d’une copie d’une médaille plus ancienne trouvée au 16e siècle. Cette médaille était donnée aux juifs se convertissant (cf. Numismatique et Change n°183, page 47).
Interesting Hebrew medal with a typical representation of Christ. The name “Campo dei fiori” was given by Mr. Boyer d'Agen who allegedly found one in 1898 in Rome. It is believed to be a copy of an older medal found in the 16th century. This medal was given to Jewish converts (see Numismatique et Change No. 183, page 47).
