Superbe petite monnaie très intéressante, avec un beau revers complet malgré un aurige en bord de flan. Droit frappé avec un coin usé et biffé de deux profond coups de burin. La frappe est vigoureuse au droit comme au revers, avec de petites traces de coin rouillé au revers. Métal en bon or jaune

Аверс: описание: Tête laurée à droite, imitant la tête d’Apollon, le coin barré de deux profondes encoches parallèles.

Реверс: Описание: Bige galopant à droite, les chevaux bondissant ; l'aurige, au-dessus de la roue du char, tient un fouet ; légende, mais pas de ligne d'exergue, avec un poisson (?) dessous.

Ce quart de statère semble unique ; il constitue le (nouveau) type VI des types à la joue barrée, attribués au centre de la Celtique, entre les Bituriges et les Lémovices... Il est repris comme monnaie type dans le supplément du Nouvel Atlas.
Le revers correspond exactement au type au bige de Philippe II, avec une belle épigraphie à l’exergue.
Au droit, le coin semble avoir reçu deux profonds coups de burin, parallèles entre le bas du nez et l'arrière de la tête, barrant complètement le type. Dessous, le profil se devine, mais très flou, avec seulement le haut du visage et le front perceptibles.
Avec un tel poids, cette monnaie correspondrait à un statère lourd de 8,20 grammes.
This quarter stater seems unique; it constitutes the (new) type VI of the types with a barred cheek, attributed to the center of Celtica, between the Bituriges and the Lemovices... It is included as a type coin in the supplement to the New Atlas. The reverse corresponds exactly to the type with the biga of Philip II, with a beautiful epigraphy on the exergue. On the obverse, the die seems to have received two deep burin blows, parallel between the bottom of the nose and the back of the head, completely crossing out the type. Below, the profile can be seen, but very blurred, with only the top of the face and the forehead perceptible. With such a weight, this coin would correspond to a heavy stater of 8.20 grams
