Jolie monnaie sur un flan très légèrement décentré. De beaux détails, une faiblesse au droit mais une tête agréable. Au revers, on distingue bien le carnyx au-dessus du cheval. Patine grise

Cette petite obole s’insère dans la série 1286 pour “les fractions en argent des peuples de l’ouest”, mais se rapproche aussi de la série 1070 “bi-métallique type au carnyx” (bien que celle-ci ne comprenne pas d’oboles). Il semble que seuls quatre exemplaires de ce type ne soient connus.

Celtic people who left their name in Limoges and Limousin. The origin of its name comes once again from lemo or limo which can be translated as elm.
