Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur un tableau de Vincent Van Gogh; Autoportrait à l’oreille bandée : Les autoportraits de Vincent Van Gogh sont un ensemble de tableaux et dessins représentant l'artiste-peintre néerlandais entre 1886 et 1889. Durant sa carrière artistique, Van Gogh s'est représenté dans une quarantaine de peintures et dessins. Si l'authenticité des portraits de Van Gogh ne fait aucun doute concernant la grande majorité d'entre eux, certains attribués par Jacob Baart de la Faille, auteur du premier catalogue raisonné, ont depuis été contestés ou retirés de la liste. Ainsi, il n'est connu aucun autoportrait de Van Gogh datant de son séjour à Auvers-sur-Oise.

Ce tableau est conservé dans une collection privée à Zurich en Suisse.

example from the Franklin medallist which features a painting by Vincent Van Gogh; Self-portrait with Bandaged Ear: The self-portraits of Vincent Van Gogh are a collection of paintings and drawings representing the Dutch artist between 1886 and 1889. During his artistic career, Van Gogh represented himself in around forty paintings and drawings. While the authenticity of Van Gogh's portraits is beyond doubt regarding the vast majority of them, some attributed by Jacob Baart de la Faille, author of the first catalogue raisonné, have since been contested or removed from the list. Thus, no self-portrait of Van Gogh is known to exist dating from his stay in Auvers-sur-Oise. This painting is kept in a private collection in Zurich, Switzerland.
