Ce type de potin est rare. Son étude semble avoir été largement négligée. Il en existe pourtant de nombreuses variétés. Aucune n’a été reprise dans le tome 1 du DT.

(2nd - 1st century BC)

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC). Caesar (BG. I, 40).
