Аверс: описание: Tête à gauche, la chevelure en trois rangées de petites mèches ; oreille et collier peu apparent ; dauphins supposés devant le visage.

Реверс: легенда: ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Реверс: Описание: Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons, chacun ornés d'une lunule ; une oreille au 2e canton et une fine hache à gauche au 3e canton.

Комментарий

La croix est bouletée au centre. Cette tête est assez atypique et illustre la grande variété au sein de ces monnaies "au style languedocien". Ce type est présent dans les trésors de Béziers, de La Loubière, de Moussan et de La Plana de Utiel (Espagne).
Sur cet exemplaire, la hache du troisième canton est à peine visible par rapport à la drachme S. 291 de MONNAIES XXIII (n° 730, vendue au prix de départ sur un ordre de 1250€) sortie des mêmes coins de droit et de revers que la drachme proposée ici.
The cross is rounded in the center. This head is quite atypical and illustrates the great variety within these \\\"Languedoc style\\\" coins. This type is present in the hoards of Béziers, La Loubière, Moussan and La Plana de Utiel (Spain). On this example, the axe of the third canton is barely visible compared to the drachma S. 291 of MONNAIES XXIII (no. 730, sold at the starting price on an order of €1,250) from the same obverse and reverse dies as the drachma offered here
