Комментарий

Ce type monétaire, avec un besant en cantonnement de la croix du revers, est légèrement postérieur à celui du trésor de Fécamp (n° 6763-6765). Il s’agit d’un type immobilisé au nom de Louis IV d’Outremer. D’après Morisson et Grunthal, un seul autre exemplaire est connu, publié par Gariel au XIXe siècle et présentant une légende incomplète.
This coin type, with a bezant in cantonment of the cross on the reverse, is slightly later than that of the Fécamp treasure (no. 6763-6765). It is a type immobilized in the name of Louis IV d'Outremer. According to Morisson and Grunthal, only one other example is known, published by Gariel in the 19th century and presenting an incomplete legend.
