Ce jeton de fiançailles ne fut pas suivi de jetons de mariage en raison des événements politiques qui poussèrent la France à renvoyer l’Infante et à marier le roi avec Marie Leszczinska.

LOUIS XV and MARIANA-VICTORIA INFANTA OF SPAIN
The regent had decided to betroth his little cousin to Marie Anne Victoire (1718-1781), the daughter of Philip V of Spain (1683-1746) and his second wife Elisabeth Farnese (1692-1766). The young infanta was eight years younger than the King. The children were in fact betrothed in 1723. After the death of the regent, the engagement was broken. Marie-Anne will marry in 1732 Joseph de Bragance (1714-1777), future Joseph I, king of Portugal (1750-1777). As for Louis XV, he married Marie Leszczynska (1703-1768), daughter of Stanislas I, deposed king of Poland.
