Julia Gordus or Gordus Julia, the modern Giordiz was located near the sources of the Hyllus, which changed its name under Eumenes II to Phrygius and later still Glaucus. This river had its source near Mount Temnus after receiving the waters of the Lycus and before flowing into those of the Hermus a few kilometers before Magnesia of Sipylus.
