Exemplaire sur un petit flan un peu court au droit sur le menton d’Alexandre. Très belle tête d’Héraklès. Revers de haut relief mais sur un flan granuleux. Magnifique patine au droit avec des reflets mordorés

He crushed the fleet of Ptolemy at the battle of Salamis in Cyprus (The statue of the Victory of Samothrace). A great strategist, he received the nickname of Poliorcète (the besieger). King of Macedonia after the death of Cassander, in 294 BC, he was dethroned by Lysimachus and Pyrrhus and died a prisoner of Antiochus in Syria (283 BC)..
