Monnaie fourrée, ou en métal de très mauvaise qualité. Les types sont assez mal venus avec une surface hétérogène, mais encore bien identifiables

Комментарий


Ce type monétaire bien particulier est connu en obole, (MONNAIES XI, n° 596 = RN 2007, n° 16 p. 292-293) mais aussi en deniers (MONNAIES 38, n° 1688).

Selon les conclusions de M. Dhénin et P. Schiesser dans leur article sur les oboles, ce type serait à attribuer à Marseille pour Antenor.
L’absence de ce denier dans la trouvaille de Cimiez et le manque de cohérence avec le reste du monnayage marseillais nous font douter de leurs conclusions....
