Ce gros tournois est frappé sur un flan assez large et légèrement voilé. Monnaie recouverte d’une patine grise présentant de petites taches. La croix du droit apparaît en négatif au revers. Des taches brunes au droit, autour de la croix, suite à d’anciennes oxydations laissant apparaître une âme cuivreuse

Monnaie de la plus grand rareté absente de l’ouvrage de Poey d’Avant et de Boudeau. Jens Christian Moesgaard, “Les émissions monétaires de Charles dit le Mauvais à Évreux (1356-1361), Revue Numismatique, t. 154, 1999, p. 231-265, signale sous le n° 3 bis, p. 251 recense un seul exemplaire conservé au Westfälisches Landesmuseum de Münster (inventaire 24260 MZ) provenant d’une vente réalisée à Essen. D’après cet auteur, cette monnaie copie le type royal du roi de France ordonné en janvier 1356 et a été frappé par Philippe de Longueville pendant la captivité de Charles dit le Mauvais (à partir d’avril 1356). En 1356, la ville d’Évreux est assiégée puis prise par les troupes du roi de France. Ces monnaies avec le titre de Navarre, sont classées par Jean Christian Moesgaard à Évreux.
