It is also the end of the servile insurrection in Sicily while Scipio Emilian takes Numance ending the Spanish war. Tiberius Gracchus, tribune of the plebs tries to have the "lex agraria" passed by opposing part of the Senate and the patricians. He is eventually murdered. The two consuls are Publius Mucius Scaevola and Lucius Calpurnius Piso Frugi.
