OTACILIA SEVERA, PHILIPPUS I and PHILIPPUS II
The Damascus coinage was important in Roman times. It was first in the Greek language between Augustus and Alexander Severus, then in the Latin language from Philippe I to Gallienus. Damascus was located in the province of Coele Syria. It was connected to Bostra by a direct road.
