Комментарий

Il semble étonnant que la représentation au droit de Junon Sospita n’ait pas été librement interprétée par le génie gaulois (RCV. 307). Le revers a inspiré le bronze Pixtilos au griffon (LT. 7078). Le droit se retrouve sur des imitations de deniers de la République (LT. 10103 = BN 10103-10104 et KO. 1015).
It seems surprising that the representation on the obverse of Juno Sospita was not freely interpreted by the Gallic genius (RCV. 307). The reverse inspired the bronze Pixtilos with the griffin (LT. 7078). The obverse is found on imitations of denarii of the Republic (LT. 10103 = BN 10103-10104 and KO. 1015)
