La mention EE inscrite sur la tranche est utilisée exclusivement sur la période 1963-1987. Le tirage réel réservé aux artistes, en cadeau par le directeur, au médaillier du Musée de la Monnaie et au dépôt légal du Cabinet des Médailles de la BNF se situait entre 8 et 12 exemplaires par sujet à l‘entière discrétion du chef d‘établissement.
