Flan bien centré. Les deux côtés sont bien venus à la frappe, mais on observe une faiblesse du côté gauche. Usure qui demeure superficielle. Patine grise

Il nous semble regrettable que ce type n’ait pas été repris dans l’étude sur les “Monnaies d’argent du Centre-Ouest de la Gaule” dans la Revue Numismatique de 1996.
Cette drachme, dont l’attribution est tout aussi compliquée que pour celles retenues, y aurait trouvé sa place.
La rareté de ce type et le manque de provenances connues ne permet pas d’attribuer de façon certaine cette drachme aux Pictons, aux Bituriges ou encore aux Carnutes... Mais son aire de circulation est bien à cheval sur ces peuples, dans le Centre-Ouest !
L'attribution proposée dans le Nouvel Atlas est aux Bituriges.

Ce type est appelé “aux deux crosses opposées” selon le Nouvel Atlas, série 1044 : l’une avec un aurige accroupis (comme notre exemplaire), l’autre avec une victoire très dégénérée.
It seems regrettable to us that this type was not included in the study on “Silver Coins of Central-West Gaul” in the 1996 Revue Numismatique. This drachma, whose attribution is just as complicated as for those retained, would have found its place there. The rarity of this type and the lack of known provenances does not allow us to attribute this drachma with certainty to the Pictons, the Bituriges or even the Carnutes... But its circulation area is indeed straddling these peoples, in the Central-West! The attribution proposed in the New Atlas is to the Bituriges. This type is called “with two opposing crosiers” according to the New Atlas, series 1044: one with a crouching charioteer (like our copy), the other with a very degenerate victory
