Denier frappé sur un flan large avec des types centrés. Le droit et le revers sont assez net mais le revers est altéré par une surface métallique un peu hétérogène. Sinon, patine grise poreuse par endroits

Комментарий

Avec la légende PECTAVIO, l’attribution de ce denier ne laisse pas trop d’hésitation. Mais la légende de revers est très particulière, avec + BETONISONIATRO, les deux I étant traités en petits segments presque en exposants. Il semble que ce soit une déformation de la légende BETONI MONITARIO que l’on retrouve sur le n° 3599 du Belfort, pour le monétaire BETO.
C’est le second exemplaire que nous proposons, avec le bmv_294443..
With the legend PECTAVIO, the attribution of this denarius leaves no room for doubt. But the reverse legend is very unusual, with + BETONISONIATRO, the two I's being treated in small segments almost as superscripts. It seems to be a distortion of the legend BETONI MONITARIO that we find on Belfort issue 3599, for the monetary BETO. This is the second example we are offering, along with bmv_294443.
