Frappée sur un tout petit flan, cette monnaie est d’une conservation correcte, mais avec un métal hétérogène qui nuit à son aspect général

Cette monnaie d'un poids très faible semble être une obole. Si ce type est plus ou moins connu en denier, c'est la première obole qui nous ait été signalée ; elle nous a été confiée trop tard pour pouvoir figurer dans l'article à paraître de M. Dhénin et P. Schiesser.
Beaucoup des ces monnaies avec l'E croiseté ont été attribuées à Paris, de façon erronée semble-t-il puisqu'elles sont désormais attribuées à Melle.
