Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type monétaire sur un flan large, légèrement ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Au revers, tous les détails vestimentaires de Moneta sont visibles. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
