Très curieusement, bien que la monnaie ne présente pas de traces de circulation, elle est molle d’aspect. On peut se demander si le plaquage qu’elle a subi n’a pas atténué les reliefs

Couleur de surface totalement anormale pour ces pré-séries à tranches striée, cuivrée ou dorée, un autre exemplaire signalé par un célèbre collectionneur, aucun dans Kolsky. On ignore si l’objectif de ce plaquage était esthétique ou technique.
