Le duel entre Alexandre Peresvet et Chelubey à l’issue duquel les deux protagonistes meurent est un épisode emblématique de la Bataile de Koulikovo. Le 8 septembre 1380, les Russes conduits par le grand-prince de Moscou Dimitri Ier l’emportent sur les mongols de la Horde d’or. Cette bataille est une date symbolique pour l’unification de la nation russe.
The duel between Alexander Peresvet and Chelubey, in which both protagonists died, is an emblematic episode of the Battle of Kulikovo. On September 8, 1380, the Russians led by Grand Prince Dmitry I of Moscow defeated the Mongols of the Golden Horde. This battle is a symbolic date for the unification of the Russian nation.
