Un journal d’époque précisait au sujet de cette exposition de 191 “Le 10 mai a eu lieu l'inauguration officielle de l'Exposition française de Moscou en présence de M. le général Costenda, directeur intérimaire de Moscou. Le général et sa suite ont été reçus par le comité supérieur réuni : MM. Dietz-Monin, Flourens, Watbled, Kergeradec, consul de France à Moscou ; Dautresme, secrétaire général, et M. de Dramard. On sait dans quelles circonstances a été organisée cette Exposition, dont le résultat certain sera de donner un nouvel essor à notre industrie et de répandre nos produits en Orient.”.
Medal awarded to Giraud. A contemporary newspaper stated about this 191 exhibition: “On May 10, the official inauguration of the French Exhibition in Moscow took place in the presence of General Costenda, interim director of Moscow. The general and his entourage were received by the assembled senior committee: Messrs. Dietz-Monin, Flourens, Watbled, Kergeradec, French consul in Moscow; Dautresme, secretary general, and Mr. de Dramard. We know the circumstances under which this Exhibition was organized, the certain result of which will be to give new impetus to our industry and to spread our products in the Orient.”
