Catherine de Bourbon, Marquise d’Isle, Comtesse de Beaufort, est la fille de Henri Ier de Condé et de Marie de Clèves.
Concernant les seigneuries d'Ilse et Beaufort mentionnées sur le jeton, elles étaient entrées chez les Clèves-Nevers sous François de Clèves, 1er Duc de Nevers, et par une série d'héritages successifs à François de Clèves, 2d Duc de Nevers, puis à son frère Jacques de Clèves Duc de Nevers puis à Marie de Clèves et à la mort de celle-ci à Catherine de Bourbon-Condé. Morte sans postérité en 1595, les seigneuries vont à sa tante Catherine de Clèves (la 4e enfant de François 1er de Clèves-Nevers), Duchesse de Guise par son mariage avec le Balafré.
Catherine de Bourbon, Marchioness of Isle, Countess of Beaufort, was the daughter of Henry I of Condé and Marie of Cleves. The lordships of Isle and Beaufort, mentioned on the token, came into the possession of the Cleves-Nevers family under Francis of Cleves, 1st Duke of Nevers, and through a series of successive inheritances to Francis of Cleves, 2nd Duke of Nevers, then to his brother Jacques of Cleves, Duke of Nevers, then to Marie of Cleves, and upon her death to Catherine de Bourbon-Condé. Having died without issue in 1595, the lordships passed to her aunt Catherine of Cleves (the fourth child of Francis I of Cleves-Nevers), Duchess of Guise through her marriage to Francis I of Condé (known as \\\"Le Balafré\\\").
