Denier intéressant, sur un flan un peu court et irrégulier. Frappe très franche au revers mais un peu molle au droit. Fine patin de collection

Cet exemplaire à la cathèdre a été publié par J.-F. Letho-Duclos et P. Schiesser dans les Cahiers Numismatiques 181 en 2009, “Un denier de Sens à la Cathèdre découvert à Jaulnes (Seine-et-Marne)” p. 19, fig. 7. Au total sept exemplaires y sont répertoriés, et les auteurs concluent leur argumentation par “la légende de revers est sans équivoque, tous ces deniers nous confirment l’origine de la frappe : Sens !”.
This specimen with a cathedra was published by J.-F. Letho-Duclos and P. Schiesser in Cahiers Numismatiques 181 in 2009, “A Sens denier with a cathedra discovered in Jaulnes (Seine-et-Marne)” p. 19, fig. 7. A total of seven specimens are listed there, and the authors conclude their argument with “the reverse legend is unequivocal, all these deniers confirm the origin of the strike: Sens!”
