Комментарий
Nous sommes bien en présence d’une drachme d’étalon persique alors que l’exemplaire décrit dans la collection Stancomb (WSC. n° 148) est d’étalon éginétique.
We are indeed in the presence of a drachma of a Persian standard while the example described in the Stancomb collection (WSC. no. 148) is of an Aeginetian standard.

Историческая справка
THRACE - ISTROS
(4th - 2nd century BC)
Istros, a Milesian colony, located equidistant from Callatis and the mouths of the Danube, is in Lower Moesia. The Greek name gave its Latin name to the Danube (Danuvius). The two juvenile heads, comparable to the Dioscuri (Gemini), represent the mouths of the Danube (Ister).
