Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés. Portraits tout à fait fantastiques pour une monnaie divisionnaire. Légèrement décentré au revers sur la tête du dauphin. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

(4th - 2nd century BC)
Istros, a Milesian colony, located equidistant from Callatis and the mouths of the Danube, is in Lower Moesia. The Greek name gave its Latin name to the Danube (Danuvius). The two juvenile heads, comparable to the Dioscuri (Gemini), represent the mouths of the Danube (Ister).
