Médaille attribuée en 1924 à Pierre Dupuy député de la Seine. Il naquit le 20 juin 1876 à Paris et y décéda le 29 juin 1968. Il est le fils de Jean Dupuy, ministre de l’agriculture et patron du journal Le Petit Parisien. Il se présenta aux législatives en Gironde et fut élu le 27 avril 1902 faisant de lui le benjamin de l’Assemblée nationale. Il fut par la suite réélu en Gironde jusqu’au 31 mai 1924. Lors de la XIIIe législature il se présentant en tant que député de la Seine. Il fut élu et exerça ce mandat de député du 11 mai 1924 au 31 mai 1928. Cette médaille lui fut accordée lors de ce mandat. Du 1er mai 1932 au 31 mai 1942, il fut député pour les établissements français de l’Inde. Le 10 juillet 1940 à Vichy, il vota les pleins pouvoirs au Maréchal Pétain. Son dernier mandat de député prit fin le 31 mai 1942, la mandature des députés élus en 1936 ayant été prorogée par un décret de juillet 1939 jusqu’à cette date. Clémenceau l’avait nommé commissaire aux transports et à la marine marchande. Il était chevalier de la légion d’honneur et reçut le cordon de grand-officier de la Couronne d’Italie après la conférence de Rome.
