Wilfrid Baumgartner, né le 21 mai 1902 à Paris VIIe et mort le 1er juin 1978 à Paris VIIe, est un haut fonctionnaire et homme politique français.
En 1949, Maurice Petsche le nomme gouverneur de la Banque de France.
Il quitte cette fonction en 1960 pour remplacer Antoine Pinay au poste de ministre des Finances et des Affaires économiques du gouvernement Michel Debré, le 13 janvier 1960. Il le demeure pendant deux ans.
Il est à son tour remplacé par Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, le 18 janvier 1962..
Wilfrid Baumgartner, born May 21, 1902 in Paris VIIe and died June 1, 1978 in Paris VIIe, was a senior French civil servant and politician. In 1949, Maurice Petsche appointed him Governor of the Bank of France. He left this position in 1960 to replace Antoine Pinay as Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs in the Michel Debré government on January 13, 1960. He remained in this position for two years. He was in turn replaced by Valéry Giscard d'Estaing on January 18, 1962.

The constitution was amended on January 28, 1958. October 1962 by referendum where a majority of 62% of votes approves the election of the President of the Republic by direct universal suffrage.
