Комментарий

Le septième groupe des frappes de Vespasien est uniquement fabriqué en l’an 1 et 2 (suivant le groupe 5 daté de l’an 1) il est donc directement lié à la Guerre Juive. Il se caractérise par un aigle avec couronne dans le bec mais sur une massue, avec croissant entre les pattes.
Il fait donc la suite des frappes d’Othon et de la dernière frappe de Galba, celle avec le croissant, Prieur 100A.
Les sigma sont tous traités en C, ce qui est la définition de cette variante.
Dans la base TSP maintenue par Michel Prieur, trente-six exemplaires sont maintenant répertoriés avec cinq exemplaires en musées, à Paris, Oxford, British Museum et ANS (2).
The seventh group of Vespasian's strikes is only made in the year 1 and 2 (following group 5 dated from the year 1) and is therefore directly linked to the Jewish War. It is characterized by an eagle with a crown in its beak but on a club, with a crescent between its legs. It therefore follows the strikes of Otho and the last strike of Galba, the one with the crescent, Prieur 100A. The sigmas are all treated in C, which is the definition of this variant. In the TSP database maintained by Michel Prieur, thirty-six examples are now listed with five examples in museums, in Paris, Oxford, British Museum and ANS (2)
