Exemplaire sur un flan très large et ovale, irrégulier et légèrement éclaté à six heures au droit avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait particulier d’Hadrien. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Recouvert d’une fine patine grise superficielle

Реверс: Описание: Pudicitia (la Pudeur) voilée et drapée assise à gauche, ramenant son voile de la main droite.

Реверс: перевод: “Consul tertium”, (Consul pour la troisième fois).

Комментарий

Un seul ruban visible, Buste élancé. Petit pan de paludamentum sur l’épaule gauche. Ce type de buste est normalement associé à la légende HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P (buste Li, Hill, pl. II/5) alors que le buste est petit large et massif avec la légende HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS (buste M). Le type de revers se rencontre rarement pour l’empereur étant réservé plutôt aux femmes. Il est associé pour la première fois à un système de marquage de l’exergue (un globe) déjà rencontré sur certaines monnaies de Domitien quarante ans plus tôt. Nous pourrions avoir une émission intermédiaire avec un nouveau type de portrait (Li) associé au revers de l’émission traditionnelle. Le globe pourrait alors marquer la différence entre les deux émissions.
Only one ribbon visible, slender bust. Small panel of paludamentum on the left shoulder. This type of bust is normally associated with the legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS PP (bust Li, Hill, pl. II/5) while the bust is small, wide and massive with the legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS (bust M). The type of reverse is rarely found for the emperor, being reserved rather for women. It is associated for the first time with a system of marking the exergue (a globe) already encountered on certain coins of Domitian forty years earlier.
