La Confédération canadienne ou Confédération du Canada est le processus par lequel les colonies britanniques distinctes et autonomes du Canada-Uni, du Nouveau-Brunswick et de la Nouvelle-Écosse s'unifièrent afin de former une nation. Lorsque la Constitution du Canada est entrée en vigueur le 1er juillet 1867, les colonies sont devenues collectivement provinces du Dominion du Canada. Ce nouveau pays a été formé sous la forme d'une fédération avec un régime de type monarchie constitutionnelle. Le Canada était alors constitué de quatre provinces : le Nouveau-Brunswick, la Nouvelle-Écosse, l'Ontario et le Québec. On February 15, 1965, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the ceremony to unveil the Canadian flag took place, in the presence of Governor General Georges Vanier, Prime Minister Lester B.
