CARIA - SATRAPS OF CARIA - HEKATOMNUS

(392-377 BC)

Hecatomnos, a native of Mylassa, succeeded Hyssaldomos, satrap of Caria in 395 BC. Commander of the Persian fleet, he took part in operations during the reconquest of Cyprus in 390 BC after the revolt of the king of Salamis, Evogoras I (411-373 BC).
