Exemplaire sur un flan large, épais, parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau buste enfantin de Constantin II de haut relief bien venu à la frappe. Joli revers de style fin, mais de frappe un peu molle. Belle patine grise avec des reflets marron glacé

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
