Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type de monnayage sur un petit flan parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Joli revers. Magnifique patine gris métallique avec des reflets bleutés acier

Аверс: описание: Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Constantin II César à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant un foudre de la main droite et un globe de la main gauche, un sceptre à l’extrémité bouletée reposant sur l’épaule (B*17).

Комментарий
Poids léger. Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Un seul ruban à l’extrémité bouletée. Minuscule portrait inhabituel. Le César tient bien un foudre et non pas la mappa comme décrit dans de nombreux ouvrages.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
