Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan légèrement irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Portrait fantastique, de haut relief, bien venu à la frappe. Revers de toute beauté. Magnifique patine gris métallique avec des reflets marron glacé. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 2 aux extrémités bouletées. La tête fait plutôt penser à Constantin Ier qu’à son fils.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
