Le ferry Kong Frederik IX a été construit aux chantiers navals d’Elsinore. Lros de sa mise en service le 16 décembre 1954, c’était le plus grand ferry du Monde. Il a été en service sur plusieurs trajets entre le Danemark, l’Allemagne et sur le Grand Belt.Il a été désarmé en 1997pour servir de musée à Nyborg. Enfin, il a été ferraillé en 2005.
The ferry Kong Frederik IX was built at the Elsinore Shipyards. When it was commissioned on December 16, 1954, it was the largest ferry in the world. It served on several routes between Denmark, Germany, and the Great Belt. It was decommissioned in 1997 to serve as a museum in Nyborg. Finally, it was scrapped in 2005.
