Exemplaire sur un flan légèrement ovale, irrégulier et légèrement décentré sur la légende au droit. Très beau portrait avec une jolie patine vert olive foncé. Revers bien venu à la frappe et de haut relief

Poids lourd. Dénomination tout à fait inhabituelle, mais inscrite au revers dans le champ. Trou de centrage au centre sur le visage.

Caesar
Diadumenian becomes Caesar when his father Macrin is proclaimed august in April 217. He receives the title of prince of youth. Macrinus brings him into the Severian family by making him take the prænomen of Antoninus, as he himself seized that of Severus. After the proclamation of Elagabalus, Macrinus raised his son to august in May 218 for a very short period. Beaten in June, Macrin and Diaduménien fled. The latter is caught while trying to pass to the Parthians by crossing the Euphrates. He is killed.
