Cette monnaie au nom de saint Étienne se réfère à la cathédrale de Besançon. Ce type à la main bénissante sera repris jusqu'a la fin du Moyen-Âge sur les monnaies de l'archevêché de Besançon. Le poids assez léger de cet exemplaire, 0,93 g, permet de proposer une datation vers la fin du XIe siècle.
This coin, named after Saint Stephen, refers to the cathedral of Besançon. This type with the blessing hand would be repeated until the end of the Middle Ages on the coins of the archbishopric of Besançon. The relatively light weight of this example, 0.93 g, allows us to propose a dating towards the end of the 11th century.
