Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau buste de Galéria Valéria. Revers de haut relief, finement détaillé. Très jolie patine verte. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Daughter of Diocletian, wife of Galerius - Augusta
Galeria Valeria is the daughter of Diocletian. By adopting Maximien Galère in 293, Diocletian had his daughter married to the latter. Galeria Valeria appears on the coinage after the conference of Carnuntum (11/11/308), but disappears from it after the death of her husband in 311. She remains under the protection of Maximin II Daia. After the disappearance of the latter in 313, she must flee. Licinius had her murdered two years later.
