Très bel exemplaire frappé sur un flan très large et irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux cotés avec les grènetis visibles. Superbe revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise de collection ancienne

Caesar
Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
