Jean Scaron, seigneur de Maudiné, fut prévôt de 1644 à 1646, année de sa mort ; il était de la famille de Paul Scarron, écrivain et premier mari de la future Madame de Maintenon.
La légende de revers de ce jeton rend compte du rôle de Régente déférée à Anne d'Autriche, la Reine-Mère, par le lit de justice du 18 mai 1643. Sur ce jeton le nom de famille est orthographié avec une seule R.
Jean Scaron, Lord of Maudiné, was provost from 1644 to 1646, the year of his death; he was from the family of Paul Scarron, writer and first husband of the future Madame de Maintenon. The legend on the reverse of this token reflects the role of Regent deferred to Anne of Austria, the Queen Mother, by the bed of justice of May 18, 1643. On this token the family name is spelled with a single R
