Ce jeton, qui manque à Feuardent comme type, est très rare
La lignée des barons de Choiseul-Esguill est éteinte après 1790, en la personne de Louis-Marie-Gabriel-César, baron de Choiseul, ambassadeur à Turin en 1765, maréchal-de-camp en 1770, et chevalier de Saint-Lazare en 1779. Du mariage qu'il avait contracté, en mars 1760, avec Marie- Françoise de Girard de Vannes, il a laissé deux filles :
- Louise - Joséphine de Choiseul, mariée, le 2 mai 1780 avec César - Hippolyte comte de Choiseul-Praslin,
- Charlotte - Ferdinande - Marie de Choiseul, chanoinesse de Neuville, mariée, le 26 octobre 1781, avec Arnaud, comte de Serent, fils du marquis, puis duc de Serent, pair de France.
Diplomate en Sardaigne, en Tunisie et en Russie, il négocia les mariages du futur Louis XVIII et du futur Charles X.
