Monnaie d’une rare qualité, avec des types complets malgré un léger décentrage du droit. Flan large et légèrement scyphate, avec un beau brillant de frappe au revers. Patine de collection ancienne, très finement irisée

Cet exemplaire provient de la vente HERITAGE 3020, n° 25801 de sept 2012, et très certainement de la trouvaille de Serra Ricco (1923)

Ce type de monnaie est excessivement rare ; c’est la première fois que nous proposons ce type de division celto-ligure. Les collections de Lyon et de Zurich, pourtant bien fournies en drachmes celto-ligures, en sont dépourvues...
Le style de la tête avec la boucle d’oreille, associé à ce revers précis, correspond aux n° 52 à 57 du Pautasso. Notre exemplaire est issu des mêmes coins de droit et de revers que le n° S95 d’Oxford provenant de chez Spink en 1970. Toutes les monnaies reprises par Pautasso proviennent de la trouvaille de Serra Ricco (province de Gênes) en 1923 comprenant 37 drachmes et 127 oboles ; il est probable que toutes les monnaies de ce type, avec ce même aspect en proviennent !.
This type of coin is extremely rare; this is the first time we have proposed this type of Celto-Ligurian division. The collections of Lyon and Zurich, although well supplied with Celto-Ligurian drachmas, are devoid of them... The style of the head with the earring, associated with this precise reverse, corresponds to Pautasso nos. 52 to 57. Our example comes from the same obverse and reverse dies as Oxford no. S95 from Spink in 1970. All the coins taken by Pautasso come from the find of Serra Ricco (province of Genoa) in 1923 comprising 37 drachmas and 127 obols; it is likely that all the coins of this type, with this same appearance, come from there!
