Комментарий

Les ernestus doivent leur appellation au nom latin de l'émetteur (Ernest : Ernestus en latin). L'atelier de Maeseyck frappa des ernestus seulement en 1582 et 1583. Les monnaies issues de cet atelier se reconnaissent notamment par la présence d'un gland en début de légende du droit.
The ernestus owe their name to the Latin name of the issuer (Ernest: Ernestus in Latin). The Maeseyck mint struck ernestus only in 1582 and 1583. Coins from this mint can be recognized in particular by the presence of an acorn at the beginning of the legend on the obverse.
