Flan large et irrégulier. Droit complet avec un très beau portrait. Revers avec les légendes périphériques à peine visible. Patine grise

Ce genre de revers avec la croix simplifiée traitée en cinq globules est typique de l’Aquitaine et plus particulièrement de Poitiers. Quant à lui, le droit est plus proche des deniers à la tête radiée de l’Orléanais.

Many Merovingian coins, badly minted, with very poor or inexplicit epigraphy, cannot be attributed to a particular mint. Too rare coins unfortunately have the same problem.
