Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type sur un flan très large parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec le grènetis complet au droit. Portrait de toute beauté. Revers stylisé, mais parfaitement identifiable. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Osroes II seems to be a usurper who seized Iranian provinces at the end of the controversial reign of Vologèse IV (147-191). The typology of its coinage is quite close to that of the official monarch. It is possible that he kept power at the beginning of the reign of Vologesis V (191-208).
