PHRYGIA - APAMEIA

(2nd - 1st century BC)

Apamea, located at the crossroads of several important roads in Asia Minor, was founded by Antiochus I (280-261 BC), in memory of his mother, Apama, the wife of Seleucus Nicator, the founder of the dynasty.
